REMEMBERING THE HUMBOLDT BRONCOS - ALL LOCAL SCHOOLS TO TAKE PART IN JERSEY DAY
4/11/2018 2:27:56 PM

Students across the Ottawa Valley will participate in JERSEY DAY tomorrow (Thursday, April 12th) in honour of the victims of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash. It's not just students taking part. Every Canadian is encouraged to wear a jersey to support the families of the dead and injured. One of the organizers says we just want to show these families that they're not alone and there is an entire country behind them. Arnprior District High School Principal Tom Havey notes the special connection between his community's and Humboldt Broncos team jerseys.

Jaimie Perry, Director of Education for the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board says "Catholic school communities are joining Jersey Day to show support for the Humboldt Broncos, their families and the wider community during this time of grieving."
