PACKERS GM, FORMER COACH SHARE THOUGHTS ON HUMBOLDT BRONCOS
4/10/2018 2:21:52 PM

The loss of fifteen aboard the Humbolt Broncos team bus last Friday is touching us all. New General Manager of the Arnprior Packers, Matthew Couvrette says it's not that long ago that he was a goalie aboard the Packers' team bus.

The GM says among his first concern is how the Arnprior club's players are dealing with the tragedy and how affects something so integral to hockey in Canada-the road games.

Matthew Couvrette says the team's thoughts are with their Saskatchewan counterparts at this difficult time. Meanwhile, former local GM, coach and hockey player Brent Sylvester says this story really hit home to Renfrew residents, because it's a flashback to that painful day in October when two Timberwolves players were lost in a horrific car crash.

Sylvester says to hug your kids and hold them a little closer because you never know what could happen.
