There are no reported injuries following a fire at 1 Innovation Drive in Renfrew on Sunday. The Renfrew Fire Department was called to the scene shortly after 3pm yesterday (Sunday) afternoon following a report of thick back smoke. Upon arrival, crews found a large quantity of waste material from Ensyn Technologies on fire. Fire fighters brought the blaze quickly under control, keeping damage minimal. The material had to be spread out to ensure the fire was in fact out. Fourteen firefighters responded to the call with two pumper trucks, one platform device and a support vehicle. Crews stayed on site for more than three hours in case of flare ups. A nearby industrial building and bulk diesel storage tank were not damaged. The cause of the blaze has not been identified.
