WOMAN ACCUSED OF STEALING FROM STUDENT BREAKFAST PROGRAM
2/8/2018 3:16:06 PM

A 40 year old Petawawa woman is accused of stealing from a kids breakfast program. Upper Ottawa Valley OPP say they began investigating last November at the request of the Renfrew County District School Board. School board officials had concerns over the financial operation of a breakfast and snack program for students operated by a board employee in Petawawa. Police have not released which school the program was operating at but say they identified several offences that took place between September 2016 and October 2017. As a result of the investigation, Robin E. Van Hoof is charged with fraud and theft over five thousand dollars, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, criminal breach of trust and a count related to the alleged use of a forged document. Van Hoof was released on a promise to appear in court next month. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Crime Unit or Pembroke/Renfrew County Crime Stoppers.
