LOCAL ENTREPRENEUR LOOKING TO POST VIDEO ON TOWNSHIP WEBSITE

It's about supporting local business. McNab Braeside Council seems in favour of allowing Jim Hutchison, a local entrepreneur, to shoot and produce a short aerial video for unlimited use by the municipality on its website. Hutchison owns HoverWolf, Aerial Photography and pitched the idea earlier this month. He wants to highlight the township's parks, beaches, churches and other notable attractions used by residents for play, sport, relaxation, worship and business. The 1 to 3 minute video would feature scenes that fade out every 5 to 10 seconds. Councillor Heather Lang viewed the video as an opportunity to make their website more interactive. Councillor Mark Mackenzie recommended they move forward with the idea to support local business and asked they have staff take a closer look at the proposal.
