TODAY: Renfrew Victoria Hospital will host a community resources workshop at the Golden Age Activity Centre in Renfrew this Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. The free workshop will share information about local programming, services, and independent-living tools hosted via Renfrew Victoria Hospital and St. Francis Memorial Hospital.
TODAY: Fitzroy Harbour brings the entertainment to Fitzroy Provincial Park with their Concerts in the Park series! Gates open at 6:00 pm on Thursday, July 30, for this week’s performance by the band Ambush! Admission is free but donations for CHEO and West Carleton Disaster Relief will be collected at the entrance. A local youth group is hosting a BBQ!
TODAY: Meet Clancy the terrier and his handler every Thursday at the Arnprior Public Library! They will meet with library visitors every Thursday at 3:00 pm as they gain community hours through the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program. Clancy loves spreading joy throughout the library and receiving lots of pets and praise.
TOMORROW: The 1st annual Zohr Family Funeral Home Remembrance Classic tees off from the Renfrew Golf Club this Friday, August 31. 18 holes with cart, plus games on-course, marketplace, lunch by Rio Tap & Grill, a buffet dinner, and live entertainment afterwards with the Riley New Band. Proceeds supporting the Young Griever’s Camp by Roger Neilson Children’s Hospice. Register online.
TOMORROW: Calabogie Peaks Resorts invites you to a Family Fun Day at the Beachfront this Friday, July 31. From 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, enjoy a BBQ, complimentary non-alcoholic drinks from the Drink Inc. trailer, a 15% discount on canoe, kayak or paddleboard rentals, lawn games, crafts, face painting and more!
TOMORROW: The Downtown Renfrew BIA presents the Heart of Renfrew Market every Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in July and August. Low Square will transform into a vibrant gathering place featuring local farmers, artisans, makers, and small businesses from across the Ottawa Valley. Plus, stick around for their weekly Music in the Square concert.
