WATER LEVELS TO BE DROPPED ON OTTAWA AND MADAWASKA RIVERS

Water levels will be dropped on the Ottawa and Madawaska Rivers. Ontario Power Generation says the levels are dropped annually in fall and winter to help amphibians and reptiles survive the winter.

SEARCH FOR MISSING MAN CONTINUES ON OTTAWA RIVER

Members of the Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing to search for a missing person after a boat capsized on the Ottawa River in Horton township on Saturday, November 3rd. Constable Janice Sawbridge gives us an update on the search.

MISSISSIPPI MILLS COUNCIL UNHAPPY WITH STONEDUST COVERING ON OVRT

There's no love lost between the outgoing Mississippi Mills Council and the County of Lanark over the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail. A pitch battle was fought over keeping ATVs off the portion of the trail that runs through downtown Almonte, a battle the town lost.

MILITARY TRAINING UNDERWAY IN VALLEY

Military training is taking place in a couple Ottawa Valley towns today. Renfrew, Cobden and Douglas are the communities where vehicle and dismounting training is happening. The training is being done by 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group soldiers from Petawawa.

SIU INVESTIGATING DEATH OF ELDERLY WOMAN IN CLAYTON

The province's Special Investigations Unit is looking into the death of an elderly woman in Clayton. According to the SIU, the 87 year old woman went into medical distress while attending a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Clayton community centre.
